Release Date: September 13, 2016

✾ Synopsis ✾

My life revolved around two things. Football and my cock. And not necessarily in that order.

Being the head football coach for a top university in Texas had its ups and its downs.

The ups? Endless women to f*ck.

The downs? The politics that came with the job.

From the moment Aubrey Cain walked into my office, she turned my world upside down. Being forced to have her follow me around for a month was going to be a pain in the ass. Especially since I couldn't keep my eyes off of her.

The best I'd hoped to come out of this was a few nights with her in my bed. I never imagined she'd be the game changer.

Brett Owens was my assignment.

Head football coach for a top college, bad boy reputation, short temper, and handsome good looks should have scared me off. But I was tougher than that.

From the first words out of his obnoxious, dirty-talking mouth, I knew it was going to be a long month. It wasn't five minutes after meeting him, he hit on me. If only I had known his blue eyes would haunt my dreams and awaken a desire inside of me I never knew existed.

This was business. There was no way I would be tempted by him no matter how good looking he was or how many things he whispered in my ear.

He was only supposed to be my assignment. Not the man who threatened to destroy both my heart and my career. I would follow along with his playbook for now. But who would end up winning was anyone's guess.

The Playbook is a stand-alone novel.

✿ My Review ✿

Aubrey Cain's dream is to be a sideline reporter in the NFL. She believes that writing a piece about Brett Owens, head football coach for the University of Austin, will make her boss realize that she's ready for the NFL. She knows about his reputation as a playboy and a player and doesn't want to follow him around for weeks.
Brett Owens doesn't want some ESPN reporter following him around for a month. But to keep his job, he has to do it.
After they meet and start to get to know each other, they both realize that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
But will Brett change his playboy behavior? Will Aubrey risk her career? Will they have their happily-ever-after?

I loved The Playbook! The story is amazing and sucked me from the first page. It took me in a rollercoaster ride of emotions and I couldn't stop reading. It has lots of laughter, drama, and hot sexy scenes. And the twists? Amazing!
I really liked how Brett and Aubrey's relationship developed and their chemistry. It was off the charts!
I loved that the story was told from Aubrey's and Brett's POVs. I loved getting inside Brett's head!

Aubrey Cain is a smart, independent, funny, fierce, and sassy woman. She knows what she wants and works hard for it. But meeting Brett made her start questioning her future.
Brett Owens is a dirty talking playboy. He was once a professional football player but decided to leave the NFL and became the head football coach for the University of Austin. He is happy with his lifestyle until he meets Aubrey.

Once again, Kelly Elliott gives us a phenomenal book, with an amazing story and great characters. It has everything a good book must have and you won't be able to stop reading!
