It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time
Kylie Scott

Release Date: August 7th 2018

✾ Synopsis ✾

"Addictive like all Kylie Scott books, you'll swoon, laugh, ache, put your life on hold, and compulsively read until the wee hours of the night — only to reread the whole thing the next morning. Perfection!" - Katy Evans, New York Times bestselling author

Returning home for her father's wedding was never going to be easy for Adele. If being sent away at eighteen hadn't been bad enough, the mess she left behind when she made a pass at her dad's business partner sure was.

Fifteen years older than her, Pete had been her crush for as long as she could remember. But she'd misread the situation — confusing friendliness for undying love. Awkward. Add her father to the misunderstanding, and Pete was left with a broken nose and a business on the edge of ruin. The man had to be just as glad as everyone else when she left town.

Seven years later, things are different. Adele is no longer a kid, but a fully grown adult more than capable of getting through the wedding and being polite. But all it takes is seeing him again to bring back those old feelings.

Sometimes first loves are the truest.

✿ My Review ✿

Since she was sixteen, Adele has been in love with Peter, her father's employee and fifteen years older than her. She thought the feeling was mutual. So, during the party celebrating her eighteen birthday it seemed like a good idea at the time to bare her feelings to Peter... and her breasts. But things didn't work out has she expected.
Seven years later, Adele is back home to attend her father's wedding. It's the first time she's home since her disastrous eighteen birthday party and the first time she'll see Peter since she declared her love for him. But what will happen now that Adele is no longer a teenager but a young woman? Did her feeling for Peter fade away? Has Peter been hiding his true feelings all along?

It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time is an awesome book. It hooked me from the first page with its perfect combination of drama, laughter, surprises, twists, and sexy scenes. Adele and Peter's story took me in a rollercoaster ride of emotions and I loved every second of it.

Adele is a fierce and sassy young woman. She's always been in love with Peter but he rejected her. She compares every guy to him but she still hopes to find true love. I loved how she always stood up for herself and never backed down.
Peter can be a swoon worthy man, but also a complete jerk. He has lots of issues, especially when it comes to relationships. He loves Adele, but he's afraid to really let her in his heart. He's the kind of guy that even though you want to smack him, you still love him.

Kylie Scott did an amazing job, as usual. It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time is an incredible romance, with a magnificent story and phenomenal characters. Peter and Adele's story is beautifully written and it'll hook you from the first page. Well done Kylie!

✾ Synopsis ✾

I have two rules in life:
1. No relationships, falling in love or attachments.
2. No sleeping with clients of my interior design firm.

Since the last guy turned out to be married, they've been easy to follow.

Until him.

Callum Huxley is a ridiculously sexy Brit, and the connection we have the moment our eyes lock scares the ever-loving hell out of me. Thank God I came to my senses before going back to his hotel where I would've ended up naked, panting, and unable to forget him.

Thinking I walked away from that night unscathed was stupid. Sure enough, at the biggest meeting of my career waits the CEO of Dovetail Enterprises — him. It might be the most embarrassing moment of my professional life. And breaking my no-client rule might just be the hottest moment of my personal life.

Learning to trust has never felt so good, but falling has never hurt so bad.
